Overview

What is a Marketing Assistant?

A Marketing Assistant supports customer-focused marketing activities by raising awareness and shaping perceptions. They help implement marketing strategies and are responsible for carrying out daily tasks across various platforms, channels and systems to support overall marketing efforts.

Assessment

What does end point assessment involve for Marketing Assistant level 3?

1.

Knowledge Test

The knowledge test is 90 minutes long and contains 40 questions, which are all multiple choice. It is taken online.

2.

Project Showcase

Apprentices carry out a project based on a marketing activity or marketing support. The showcase requires apprentices to submit a 3,000 word report and 8-10 presentation slides, then take part in a 60 minute professional discussion.

Useful to know

  • The project is started after gateway and the report must be submitted within 4 months of the EPA start date.
  • There is normally a 2-week gap between report submission and the professional discussion, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
  • Re-sits must be taken within the maximum EPA period of 6 months, otherwise the entire EPA must be taken again.
  • There is no cap on the grade that can be achieved in a re-sit or re-take.
