Overview
What is an Associate Project Manager?

Working across a wide range of sectors, they play a key role in managing timelines, adapting to change, and helping organisations meet strategic goals through effective project execution.
Assessment
What does end point assessment involve for Associate Project Manager level 4?
Written project report with presentation and questioning
Apprentices will complete a project while on-programme. The report is started and completed after gateway and apprentices submit a 3,500-word written project report and presentation. They will then deliver the 20-minute presentation and undergo 40-minute questioning with the assessor.
Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
Apprentices submit a portfolio of evidence at gateway. This is used to support the professional discussion between the apprentice and assessor. It will last 60 minutes.
Useful to know
- The portfolio should be submitted at gateway.
- The report and presentation must be submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period.
- There must be a 2-week gap between gateway and the professional discussion, to allow the assessor to review the portfolio.
- Re-sits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome date.
- Grades achieved in a re-sit or re-take are capped at a Pass.
