Overview

What is a People Professional?

People Professionals provide expert support across all areas of the employee lifecycle, helping organisations of all sizes achieve their strategic goals. They offer advice, coaching and insight to managers and stakeholders, contributing to people strategies and policy design.

Assessment

What does end point assessment involve for People Professional level 5?

1.

Presentation and questioning

The presentation must cover a summary of the apprentice’s role and focuses on how they tackle a specific problem, idea or opportunity. The presentation lasts 20 minutes and  the questioning will last 30 minutes.

Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence

A portfolio of evidence is submitted at gateway. The discussion then takes place as a video call between the apprentice and assessor, lasting 75 minutes.

3.

Assignment for unit 5CO03

This assignment will be completed after gateway and will be the final part of completing the Associate Diploma in People Management.

Useful to know

  • The portfolio is submitted at gateway.
  • The presentation is started after gateway and must be submitted by the end of week 5 of the EPA period.
  • There must be at least a 1-week gap between report and presentation submission and the assessment, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
  • Re-sits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome date. See our support materials for specific deadlines.
  • Grades achieved in a re-sit or re-take are capped at a Merit.
