Assessment

What does end point assessment involve for Senior People Professional level 7?

1.

Professional Discussion supported by a portfolio of evidence

The professional discussion is carried out by video call, one-to-one between the apprentice and assessor. It will last around 2 hours and is based largely on the portfolio of learning.

2.

Project proposal, presentation and questioning

The project will be an extensive piece of work carried out based on a real business need. Apprentices must submit a 7,000 word report, deliver a 20 minute presentation and then undergo 40 minute questioning with an assessor.

Useful to know

  • The portfolio is submitted at gateway.
  • The proposal and presentation must be submitted by the end of week 12 of the EPA period.
  • There must be a 2-week gap between report and presentation submission and the assessment, and a 3-week gap between portfolio submission and the professional discussion, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
  • Re-sits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome date.
  • There is no cap on the grade that can be achieved in a re-sit or re-take.
