Overview
What is Hardware, Network and Infrastructure?
Hardware, Network and Infrastructure operatives support the performance and maintenance of IT and telecommunications systems to ensure smooth business operations. They work with both physical and virtual systems, to provide technical support, assist with problem resolution and help monitor and test systems.
Assessment
What does apprenticeship assessment involve for Hardware, Network and Infrastructure level 2?
Each assessment organisation designs its own assessments, in line with the requirements of the standard. Assessment will include knowledge tests and a practical assessment. We’ve designed the assessment for this standard to enable apprentices to demonstrate competence against the required assessment outcomes.
As this is a foundation apprenticeship, Behaviours are not assessed in the same way they are in end point assessment (EPA). Instead, the standard lists Employability Skills and Behaviours (EBs), and employers must confirm that the apprentice has consistently demonstrated these prior to completion.
