What is a Digital Support Technician?
A Digital Support Technician helps organisations maximise the use of digital office technologies, productivity software, and communication tools to improve efficiency and service delivery. Apprentices choose from two options: Digital Applications Technician or Digital Service Technician.
Assessment
What does end point assessment involve for Digital Support Technician level 3?
Project Report with presentation, questions and answers
Apprentices complete a 1,500 word project report, deliver a 15 minute presentation and undergo and 30 minute questioning by video call.
Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
A portfolio of evidence is submitted at gateway. The discussion then takes place as a video call between the apprentice and assessor, lasting 60 minutes.
Useful to know
- The portfolio is submitted at gateway.
- The project is started after gateway and the report and presentation materials must be submitted by the end of week 4 of the EPA period.
- There must be a 2-week gap between report and presentation submission and the assessment, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
- Re-sits are typically taken within 1 month of the EPA outcome date.
- There is no cap on the grade that can be achieved in a re-sit or re-take.
