Assessment

What does end point assessment involve for Machine Learning Engineer level 6?

1.

Project Evaluation Report, Presentation and Questioning

Apprentices will complete a project evaluation report based on a problem, issue or opportunity. They will write a report of typically 5,000 words before delivering a 20 minute presentation and undergoing 30 minutes of questioning with an assessor.

2.

Professional Discussion

The professional discussion lasts 90 minutes, and is conducted one-to-one between the apprentice and assessor.

Useful to know

  • The project evaluation report is started after gateway and the report and presentation materials must be submitted by the end of week 8 of the EPA period.
  • There must be a 2-week gap between report and presentation submission and the assessment, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
  • Re-sits are typically taken within 3 months of the EPA outcome date.
  • Grades achieved in a re-sit or re-take are capped at a Pass.
