Team Leaders provide first-line management by supervising individuals, teams or projects to help achieve organisational goals. They offer direction, guidance and operational oversight, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant procedures and regulations.
Assessment
What does end point assessment involve for Team Leader level 3?
Presentation with Questions
The apprentice will deliver a 20 minute presentation to the assessor that covers their role, what they do, and how they tackle challenges. The questioning will typically last 30 minutes.
Professional Discussion underpinned by a Portfolio of Evidence
A portfolio of evidence is submitted at gateway. The discussion then takes place as a video call between the apprentice and assessor, lasting 60 minutes.
Useful to know
- The portfolio is submitted at gateway.
- The presentation is started after gateway and the presentation materials must be submitted by the end of week 4 of the EPA period.
- There must be a 2-week gap between presentation submission and the assessment, to allow the assessor to review the materials submitted.
- There must be a 2-week gap between portfolio submission and the professional discussion, to allow the assessor to review the portfolio submitted.
- Re-sits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome date.
- Grades achieved in a re-sit or re-take are capped at a Pass.
