Assessment

What does end point assessment involve for Data Analyst level 4?

1.

Project with presentation and questioning.

Apprentices complete a 3,500 word report, before delivering a 20-minute presentation and 20-minute questioning with an assessor.

2.

Professional discussion with portfolio, lasting 1 hour.

A portfolio of evidence is submitted at gateway. The discussion then takes place as a video call between the apprentice and assessor, lasting 60 minutes.

Useful to know

  • The portfolio should be submitted at gateway.
  • The project and presentation should be submitted within 8 weeks of the EPA start date.
  • The project must map, in an appendix, how it evidences the relevant KSBs for this assessment method.
  • There must be a 10-day gap between gateway and the professional discussion, to allow the assessor to review the portfolio.
  • Re-sits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome date.
  • There is no cap on the grade that can be achieved in a re-sit or re-take.
