What is a Business Administrator?
A Business Administrator supports and engages with various parts of an organisation, helping to improve administrative services and ensure efficient operations across teams. They interact with internal and external customers, manage tasks proactively, and develop strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, often contributing to wider business functions and preparing for future leadership responsibilities.
Assessment
What does end point assessment involve for Business Administrator level 3?
Knowledge test
The knowledge test is carried out online and contains 50 multiple-choice questions randomly selected from our question bank. Apprentices will have 60 minutes to complete the test.
Portfolio-based interview
Apprentices undertake a portfolio-based interview which will be carried out by video call and will last 30-45 minutes. This interview is based on the portfolio submitted at gateway.
Project presentation
Apprentices deliver a presentation on a project they completed or a process they improved. The presentation should last 10-15 minutes, with a further 10-15 minutes given for a Q&A session.
Useful to know
- The project and portfolio should be submitted at gateway, from month 9 of the apprenticeship.
- Apprentices will be given a question to answer in the presentation.
- Re-sits are typically taken within the EPA period.
- There is no cap on the grade that can be achieved in a re-sit or re-take.
