What is a Digital Support Technician?
A Digital Support Technician DST helps the organisation’s stakeholders maximise the use of, and value they receive from, digital technologies, services or products. They will help the stakeholders to exploit the technology, by a variety of techniques including: providing coaching and instruction, recommending changes to products and systems. They will also provide support by diagnosing system and stakeholder issues, recommending solutions and or workarounds.

What does apprenticeship assessment involve for Digital Support Technician level 3?
Mandatory
Assessment organisations must design apprenticeship assessments to include a professional discussion.
Additional
Any additional assessment(s) must be selected from the following list of methods to ensure the assessment outcomes are met in full:
– Portfolio
– Presentation
– Project
– Observation
– Question and answer
Useful to know
- Apprentices may be assessed at any appropriate point during their apprenticeship programme.
- Assessments may be designed to allow a centre or training provider to mark assessments.
- The assessment organisation is responsible for ensuring all assessments are sufficiently reliable and valid, and for the accuracy of any centre or training provider marking.
