In this article, we’ll answer all the most frequently asked questions about end point assessment (EPA) and apprenticeship assessment. This information is for apprenticeship training providers, colleges and employers.

What standards do you assess and what does EPA cost?

Does the price listed include everything?

This includes all assessment, guidance materials and ongoing support.

What do re-sits cost?

The price varies depending on the method and version of the standard. If you’re a current customer, you can find these fees in your contract. If you’re new to 1st for Awarding, get in touch and our team will share details.

Where can I see your support materials?

If you’re a current customer, you can find these in our portal. If you’re a new customer, get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss the guidance and support we have available.

Training providers, tutors and apprentices may also find the articles in our resources useful.

Can I talk to someone about EPA?

Of course. You can call 01642 205 207, or contact us by email and let us know the best time to get in touch.

What system/portal do you use?

We use epaPRO. If you haven’t used the system before, training is available at no cost.

Do you offer reasonable adjustments and special considerations to apprentices?

Yes, we do. These can be requested by completing our Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration Request. You’ll find this along with the Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration Policy on our Policies page.

Are electronic signatures acceptable on documents apprentices submit?

Yes, 1st for Awarding accepts electronic signatures on apprentices’ documents.
